Any idea which book to read about web-design? There are some inspiring books out there, i am sure – but there is also a lot of crap.
So, please publish your recommendations! Which book gave YOU new insights?

So, let me start with one book i especially like:
Steve Krug: Don’t make me think
in this book, Steve Krug lightens up the subject of web-usability with good humor and excellent, to-the-point examples. He REALLY understands the normal web-user: ME.
Two of his basic assumptions: “We don’t read pages – we scan them” and “We don’t figure out how things work – we muddle through”
Cool, I only knew the fantastic website, but not the book yet!
Ambient Findability by Peter Morville. It’s not a web design book, but it touches on the theory of information architecture and the practice of designing findable information. I found myself nodding my head through most of the book, definitely an interesting read. I second CSS Zen Garden!

That is indeed a fantastic book I also highly recommend Principles of Beautiful Web Design by Beaird, Jason.
